I’m delighted to say that ‘Microcosm’ has been chosen as a finalist in the Royal Marsden Art Competition. It will be on view alongside other finalists at the Mulberry Tree Cafe of the Royal Marsden out-patient department from 22nd Jan to the end of May 2014.

These sketches were made on the way home from the UA Bankside exhibition.
I will be entering ‘Exhale’, ‘Rain Dance II’ and ‘Crowds on Surrey Street’ in the upcoming ‘Croydon Art Society Annual Exhibition’.
The exhibition will be at the Sun Lounge, Fairfield Halls, Croydon from Monday 18th to Sat 30th November.
I recently joined the Society for all Artists and they sent me a pack of postcard blanks to try out. I’ve used acrylics but in a watercolour style as they were watercolour blanks, fairly happy with the result of the first attempt.

I’m really pleased to be taking part in the latest United Society of Artists exhibition. Titled ‘Insight’ the exhibition is being held at the Bankside gallery on the South Bank and will be open 11am to 6pm from 13th to 17th November and 6pm to 8.30pm for an opening reception on the 18th. It would be great to see you all there.
This is a painting of the early evening rush hour outside West Croydon station. The pavements are already overflowing with people waiting to catch the bus. At this time of day everyone is tired and everyone is going home, letting go of their work personas and travelling back to the things, people and places that they love. Travelling home, becoming more themselves.
I’m delighted to have been chosen to take part in the New Artist Fair at Truman Brewery on Brick Lane on 6-8 September. The show starts with an opening evening reception 6pm to 9pm on Friday the 6th. It’s free to attend and there will be lots of great artists and wonderful work on show including 13 of my original paintings. Please do come along and take a look.
