The Death of Summer @ Ripley Arts Centre

I’m really pleased to announce that I will be having an exhibition at the Ripley Arts Centre in Bromley this January. I’m taking the opportunity to make a full show of my autumn leaf paintings which promises to make for a colourful room.

The Private View will be on Wed 4th January 7pm-9pm and all are welcome weather you are just looking, fancy a chat or want to buy something.

Outside of the Private View the exhibition is open until the 10th of Feb but sometimes the room is hired out for private bookings so please call the Centre before hand to make sure 0208 464 5816.

Artist of the Month @ Studio Upstairs

Studio Upstairs recently opened a new studio and gallery space in central Croydon. They are a wonderful charity who use art as a therapy to support people with mental health difficulties. And I am delighted to be their ‘Artist of the Month’ for the 24th September to 24th October alongside Aquinas Okell .

We will be having an open evening on the 29th September 5pm-7pm if you would like to drop in for a chat and a brows after work!

Croydon Radio Interview

Last week was pretty hectic with the launch of ‘Street Scene Croydon’ at the wonderful Cafe Adagio. When the rush was over I sat down for a chat about the exhibition, life at Stanley Halls, future plans and inspirations with Janet Smith from the Croydon Radio Arts show. Here is the link.

Street Scene Croydon

I’ll be shoflyer1 sharewing some of my most recent Croydon paintings at Cafe Adagio in Addiscombe this August. It’s just round the corner from home and not even round the corner from Addiscombe Tram Stop which is the subject of my painting ‘Walk This Way’ making the choice of flyer image rather straight forward.

There will be a get-together on the 6th Aug 5pm to 7pm at Cafe Adagio, 227 Lower Addiscombe Road and I’d be delighted if you came along. After that the show is up until 2nd September, take a look at the Cafe Adagio website for opening times.

UA Members Exhibition 2015

Tomorrow I will be going into London to help with the hanging for the Annual UA Members Exhibition at the Bankside Gallery. This year I have five pictures on show, ‘Cricket’, ‘A New Day’, ‘Thomas Turner Path’, ‘Crossing’, ‘Climbing’. I will also be helping with the stewarding on Tuesday 7th July in the morning if anyone is in town and would like to drop in for a chat.  The show is on until the 12th of July.

New Paintings On Show at Stanley Halls

I’ve had a change around of the paintings showing in the wonderful gallery at Stanley Halls in South Norwood. In particular the larger version of ‘Moon Over Stanley’ has gone home for a few months and will be on display alongside other new works such as ‘Climbing’ and ‘Morning People’.

The Halls are open on a slightly ad hoc basis for events so do keep an eye on their website to find out what is on. In particular the ‘Invention Festival’ of performances will be taking place at the halls on 12th/13th June. http://www.stanleyhalls.org.uk/invention-festival/
