Matthew’s Yard Reopening

I’m sure many of you will have been following the Matthew’s Yard story over the last few years. This great local bar/cafe/arts hub/work space has had to move due to the redevelopment of their previous site. Finding a new venue in central Croydon has been no mean feat but they have managed it and the new site will be in the old Maplan building at West Croydon.

This is great news for all of Croydon’s art’s community and I am very happy indeed that the all new Matthew’s Yard will be hosting some of my Croydon paintings for their first few months.

Made in Croydon Market @ Boxpark

I will be exhibiting alongside  lots of other local artists and craftspeople this Christmas at the Croydon Boxpark.  Come along and enjoy all the local talent on display plus some festive cheer from the Boxpark food outlets.

Paxton Centre

I’ll be joining other local makers and artists at the Paxton Center in Crystal Palace during May. Look for a nice big wall full of local scenes. There will be lots of other local crafts and arts to brows as well and the Paxton Center also runs a host of workshops for those interested in improving their own skills.

There will be a viewing evening on Fri 2nd June 7-11pm for those who might like to enjoy the artworks alongside a glass or two and to have a chat with me and with the other makers.

Made in Croydon @ Boxpark

I’ll be at Boxpark in Croydon with the folks from Made in Croydon on the 10th December 10am to 4pm. So if you fancy picking up a locally made Christmas gift or two pop down for a look.

Artist of the Month @ Studio Upstairs

Studio Upstairs recently opened a new studio and gallery space in central Croydon. They are a wonderful charity who use art as a therapy to support people with mental health difficulties. And I am delighted to be their ‘Artist of the Month’ for the 24th September to 24th October alongside Aquinas Okell .

We will be having an open evening on the 29th September 5pm-7pm if you would like to drop in for a chat and a brows after work!

Croydon Radio Interview

Last week was pretty hectic with the launch of ‘Street Scene Croydon’ at the wonderful Cafe Adagio. When the rush was over I sat down for a chat about the exhibition, life at Stanley Halls, future plans and inspirations with Janet Smith from the Croydon Radio Arts show. Here is the link.
